VNTC Unshielded 12 AWG THWN or THHN

VNTC Unshielded 12 AWG THWN or THHN

Description:
Thhn thwn wire is an industrial cable which is suitable for hazardous locations. This is thanks to its robust construction that is less likely to succumb to physical or chemical damage. Not only is it meant for hazardous locations but also for commercial and residential use given that it’s a versatile cable.

Thhn or thwn wires have five or more conductors at the core of the cable. Two of the conductors have a flat construction while the other three or more conductors are twisted. The conductors are stranded to increase the flexibility of the cable. Furthermore a copper grounding wire is added to the circuit conductors which enhance safety from electrical hazards.

They are also available in various sizes which are 10 up to 16 AWG. Lastly the cable can only support applications with a voltage rating of 600 volts.

Features:
• It has thhn temperature rating of 90°C and 75°C dry and wet locations
• Meets or exceeds various industrial standards
• Recommended for direct burial
• Color coded conductors
• Sunlight resistant jacket
• Flame retardant
• Markings and printings on the jacket
• Stranded copper conductors
• Sturdy jacket

Jacketing:
The cable jacket is made of PVC. The jacket is an insulating layer that protects the cable from any form of external interferences. PVC is a robust material which improves the service life of the conductors. It is resistant to oil, moisture, corrosion, sunlight, flames, impact and abrasion.

Applications:
• Approved for installation in air, ducts or conduits
• Suitable for cable trays and troughs
• Approved for direct burial
• Hazardous locations
• Applications with a maximum voltage of 600 volts

Compliances:
• IEEE ribbon burner tests
• UL Listed for cables with grounding conductors
• UL Listed as type thhn or thwn
• ICEA hour test
• Flame retardant
