Product Details

The size 23 American Wire Gauge (AWG) bare annealed copper conductors of this cable are individually insulated with polyolefin compound. A ripcord is then applied longitudinally on the insulation and wrapped with the separator cross-web to hold the conductors firmly, forming a circular core. The core is later jacketed with a flame retardant Polyvinyl Chloride layer and armored with an interlocking aluminum strip. Just like any other electrical cable it is tested and approved to meet the following requirements:

1.ANSI/TIA 568-C.2
2.ICEA S-116-732
3.ICEA S-102-700
4.NEC/CEC Type CMR for Non-Plenum
5.UL 444
6.RoHS Compliant Directive 2011/65/EU

Features and Benefits
It is made of flexible copper conductors that will give you easy time during installation. When carrying the cable there may be need to fold it into smaller portions that can easily be lifted up, you will not use excess effort in doing this as compared to when handling a stiff and rigid cables. Go for cables that can easily bend especially when fixing them in the corners of your wiring systems and GenSpeed Cat 6 Armored Cable stands a chance.

GenSpeed Cat 6 Armored cable as the name suggest, is armored with a strong interlocking strip that offers a great protection against harsh environmental conditions. The armor keeps the cable away from chemical damages that may arise as a result of corrosive chemicals, as well as mechanical damages such as abrasions, creeping, and wear and tear. Armored cables are cost alternative to installations in conduits, cable trays and ducts since there is no need to incur costs in traditional interlocking strips. It is also fitted with the ripcord for easy termination.

Applications
This cable is primarily designed for installation applications in token rings, ATMs, CDDI, broadband and baseband analog video. It is meant to serve in indoor applications.
