This is a cable made of a nickel-coated, soft annealed copper material and is used in applications where extreme heat is needed. The nickel material used to coat the wire has great thermal and electrical conductivity. It is resistant to the effects of corrosion and it welds easily. Nickel also has a high oxidation resistance and it has good low and high temperature strength. In high temperature applications where other plated copper wires, especially silver-plated wires may not be used because of their ability to oxidize, the nickel coated copper conductors are used.

Applications
• Extreme high temperature applications of up to 450 degrees and operations requiring 600 volts
• This cable is designed for use in applications where a lot of heat is required. It has high flame retardant properties and is used for wiring control, power, and instrumentation circuits in steel, aluminum, glass, and refining industries.

Insulation
• Mica, glass and TFE Teflon ®
• An insulation material made of mica, glass and TFE Teflon is used to insulate the wire. This insulation ensures great resistant to moisture, chemicals, heat, flame, and radiation. Mica is an excellent insulator that performs well in extreme high temperatures. Fiberglass and TFE Teflon are also good insulators. The insulation protects the wire from chemical and solvents.

Jacket
• Impregnated glass braid
• The cable is jacketed using an impregnated glass braid that has been treated with moisture, flame, abrasion and heat resistant finish. The jacketing material offer extra protection against elements like moisture, heat, mechanical forces, and flame.
