General Cable Instrumentation Cable Multi-Conductor Overall Shield 600V VW-1 ULTROL® 60+

This class B stranding cable is made using tinned annealed copper material to make it easy for solderbility and workability. The same cable is used in different installations such as conduit, aerial, duct, and tray. These conductor cables have great performance features and can be used in high temperatures such as places that exhibit the effects of fires or in areas with extreme low temperatures. The copper cable is constructed using soft annealed copper in a process where the metal undergoes heating before it is cooled down slowly. The heating and cooling process ensures the conductor is flexible while at the same time maintaining its powerful conductivity properties.

Applications :
• ULTROL® 60+ instrumentation cable is a 600 V overall shielded multi-conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated construction specifically designed for applications in nuclear generating stations and where flame retardancy is critical
• Designed for use on circuits where overall shielding is required to protect from external electrostatic interference Can be installed in trays, conduit, ducts, or in direct burial applications
• In installations where you need to protect the circuits from electrostatic interference, these cables may be used. They are idea for use in chemical plants, pulp and paper, petro chemical, steel mills, automotives, and wastewater treatment plants. The cables are installed in conduits, underground ducts, messenger supported aerial installations, and in direct burial applications.

Insulation :
• Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture- and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE)
• Color code: Per ICEA Method 1, Table E-1
• The conductor cable is insulated with a cross linked polyethylene material for extra protection. The insulation material is made through cross linking using a chemical catalyst additive to make it a thermoset. With this insulation, it ensures that the cable is resistant to radiation, moisture, heat, and has enhanced flame retardant properties.

Jacketing :
• Flame-retardant, moisture-, oil-, sunlightand radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) ¬¬— Black
• The jacket protects the tray cable from chemical, moisture, and mechanical damage during installation as well as during the service life of the cables. It is made of a cross-linked polyolefin material that forms a thermoset. This material releases low levels of toxic byproduct or smoke when exposed to heat or flame. It also has high tensile strength and is resistant to abrasion and weathering.
