Product Details

The conductor of this wire is stranded and comes in two forms; bare or tinned. As compared to solid conductors, stranded conductors provide greater flexibility. The conductor is soft annealed. As a hard drawn conductor it is used for transmission and distribution lines, grounding machinery or equipment and as grounding connections in circuits. As a medium drawn conductor it is used in grounding for machinery or equipment and grounding connections in circuits.

Because stranded conductors provide better flexibility, this wire is used generally on insulators for overhead transmission and distribution applications and in electrical grounding systems- including counterpoise systems.
