Type LSMRI cable is made of two or three twisted bare and stranded copper conductors that are insulated with either ethylene propylene rubber or cross linked polyethylene. Cable insulation is very important as it has a direct bearing onthe life of the user as well as the life of the cable. Insulation of this cable protects the handler from shocks and makes the cable withstand the harsh marine environment. This cable is not jacketed but still offers a good electrical transmission.
Applications
It comes in two main sizes of 20 AWG and 16 AWG (American Wire Gauge) to serve in marine power line applications.
