Product Details

RSCC is made of silver plated copper conductors which are insulated with a cross linked low fluorine extruded ETFE. RSCC AerodefenseSurprenant cable is jacketed with a modified ETFE for protection. The cable is shielded with a silver plated copper offering an additional protection.

Features 

1.Conductors
The silver plated copper conductors improve the service life and the electrical conductivity of the cable. Plating is the process of coating copper conductors with a thin layer of silver. Silver is a good conductor with 106 percent of copper hence improving the electrical conductivity. This process makes the copper conductors resistant to corrosion by industrial chemicals improving the service life. Silver has good solderability hence the ease of soldering the cable. Plating conductors by silver make them withstand high temperatures since silver has a working temperature of 250 degrees.

2.Insulation
ETFE has low fluorine making it flame retardant thus inhibits burning of the cable in case of fire. Fluorine is a halogen that burns easily when subjected to flames. Lo-Flo layer releases less smoke when burned. The RSCC AerodefenseSurprenant cable insulation protects it from the punishing environmental conditions.

3.Jacketing & Shielding
Cross linked fluoro-polymer ETFE keeps the cable safe from mechanical and environmental destruction. Shielding by silver plated copper holds the conductors together in positions preventing them from overlapping. This ensures smooth flow of electric current. It also protect the conductors from direct attacks by mechanical stress, keeping the cable safe from electromagnetic interferences; enhancing clear signal transmission.

Applications
This cable is designed for use in power lines distributing voltages not exceeding 600 volts, at operational temperature rating of up to 200 degrees. The cable is deployed in spacecraft wiring system, ship’s hull and inboards. It can as well be connected in locations requiring proper shielded Flexible Cross-Linked Cables.
