Prysmian and Draka Cable AICI-I/O/RM-W F6 Indoor and Outdoor Flame Retardant and Halogen Free Steel Wire Braiding Tight Buffer Cable

Product Details

This is an optical cable designed to operate in the demanding industrial environments. The cable is desirable for indoor and outdoor installations. It is sheathed in two layers, whereby the outer sheath is made of a black SHF1 classified which is resistant to strong sunlight radiations and extreme weather conditions. Sheathing layer can also withstand exposure to fluids like mineral oils and diesel, which is in line with IEC60811-2-1 Standards. The cable is instilled with a braided steel wire between the sheathing layers.

Strong glass yarn elements are applied round the core for easy long length installations. This cable comes with 0.9mm tight buffer which is easy to strip, and color coded on each fiber. Outer sheath is printed in marks showing the cable and fiber types.

Features

1.Braided steel wire helps in maintaining the circular core of the cable, preventing it from collapsing and mechanical damages.

2.The ease in buffer stripping during installation, facilitates faster and reliable splicing for connector mounting.

3.The outer and inner sheathing layers are responsible for improved service life of the cable, as they offer an excellent protection from the harsh punishing environmental conditions. It is water tight in accordance to IEC 60794-1-2F5B, ensuring that the cable is dry and moisture free hence improving its workability.

4.It does not succumb to burning easily because of its flame retardancy and halogen free nature. Halogens are highly flammable elements, which are not components to this cable.

Applications
This is a dual serving optical cable that can perform in both wet and dry locations, with a temperature range of -40 degrees to 70 degrees Celsius. It is used as a communication, instrumentation and control cable in maritime environments.
