Product Details

Conductors: Extra-flexible stranding (Class K), soft-drawn tinned copper, per ASTM B-33 and ASTM B-172 for high flexibility, extended flex-Iife, reduced copper fatigue/conductor breakage, corrosion resistance and easy soldering.

Insulation: Heat-resistant silicone rubber with abrasion-resistant fiberglass braid per ICEA S-19- 81 for resistance to extreme heat and abrasion, long service life and reduced downtime.

Cabling and Jacket: Color-coded conductors are cabled with a flame retardant thermal barrier tape and an overall fiberglass braid jacket for protection from extreme heat, sparks and molten splatter 

Cable Armor: Braided stainless steel armor protects cable in critical service applications by providing abrasion and cut-through protection. 

Applications: 
•BOSTGARD™ Soaking Pit Cable is designed and manufactured to provide long life under extreme heat and severe flexing conditions
•Applications include use on ingot transfer cars, scrap charging machines, soaking pit cranes, mud guns, ladle transfer cars, and in severe environmental conditions where extreme heat and abrasion are factors. BOSTGARD™ cables are well suited for flexing applications such as festoon systems and cable reels. 

Specifications and Ratings:
•Rated for 600 volts 
• Suitable for continuous operation at 200°C
•Short-term exposure to temperatures as high as 675°C.
