Introducing the Audiocodes Mediant M1KB-D6 Hybrid Media Gateway, a versatile and budget-friendly solution engineered to bridge TDM and IP networks for both enterprises and small-scale carrier environments This compact modular gateway is designed for scalability, accommodating configurations of 1, 2, or 4 E1/T1/J1 spans as well as offering between 1 to 24 analog ports in FXS/FXO setups The M1KB-D6 model comes equipped with a quad T1/E1 voice module, enabling 60 VoIP channels alongside 60 channels for PSTN fallback.

It features five empty bays available for Audiocodes Voice Modules, providing ultimate customization Each Mediant 1000B can support up to 4 T1/E1 and various analog voice modules, ensuring a robust solution for connecting legacy PBX systems to modern IP networks, as well as a seamless interface between IP-PBX and the PSTN Not only does the Mediant 1000B function as a dedicated media gateway, but it can also host partner applications and operate as an IP-PBX platform via the OSN3 Module.

Its compatibility spans multiple vendor gateways, softswitches, gatekeepers, proxy servers, SIP phones, session border controllers, and firewalls, making it a flexible choice for small sites and scalable enough to meet enterprise and service providers' demands The device supports a mix of digital and analog configurations, featuring media processing capabilities for conferencing and play/record functions.

Digital modules can be set up as E1/T1/J1 interfaces, with 1 or 2 paired spans serving as lifeline interfaces in case of emergencies The analog module provides regular FXS or FXO options, allowing one FXS line to serve as a lifeline conduit to the PSTN With enhanced deployment versatility, the Mediant 1000B invites partners to host their applications—ranging from IP-PBX systems to call centers and messaging solutions—within its architecture, all powered by robust computing and storage capabilities to deliver a comprehensive SIP gateway experience.
