HW281 Shielded Pairs Instrumentation Cable 0.6/1kV Armored & Sheathed 110°C Gexol® Insulation Individually Shielded Pairs

Product Details

A soft annealed tinned copper strand made for high temperature, high voltage environments. The instrumentation cable is used in applications of up to 110 degrees Celsius and voltage from 0.6 KV to 1KV. It has a tin coating to reduce the level of corrosivity and improve its thermal performance. Tin also makes the cable to be easily soldered. The high strand count allows increased flexibility and thus easy workability during installation.

Applications
• Designed and constructed for the demanding environments of offshore drilling and petroleum facilities
• Uses as a marine shipboard cable
• The instrumentation cable can be used to wire equipments and systems in demanding marine environments. It is used in wiring fire protection systems, tank level indicators, gas protection systems, communication systems, smoke detectors, and CO2 systems.

Insulation
• Flame retardant cross-linked polyolefin
• This cable is insulated using cross-linked polyolefin material. It is resistant to UV light, fire, and chemicals. Cross-linked polyolefin is halogen free and does not emit dangerous gases after being subjected to heat or flame.

Jacketing
• Black, arctic grade
• The cable is jacketed with a black, arctic grade PVC material for enhanced protection. This material resists elements such as oil, sunlight, chemicals, and flame.

Armor and sheathing : In addition to the insulation and jacket, the cable has a basket weave wire armor. The sheath is made of arctic grade PVC and provides resistance to chemical, abrasion, UV, flame, and oil.

Pairs : Pairs of the cable twisted using a bare tinned drain wire and shielded with use of an aluminum foil tape consisting of a polyester back. A pair to pair isolation is also present.

Features
• High strand count conductors make this product extremely flexible, easier to install and more resistant to vibration than Type MC, IEC spec or commercial cables.
• Lower dielectric constant and higher insulation resistance reduces electrical losses.
• Excellent resistance to moisture produces stable electrical properties throughout the life of the cable.
• In fire conditions, non-chlorinated flame retardant system produces less toxic and less corrosive gasses.
• Dual certified IEEE 1580 Type P and UL 1309/CSA C22.2 No. 245 Type X110.
• Highest ampacity ratings: ABS 100°C, DNV 95°C, LRS 95°C, Transport Canada 95°C
• Severe cold durability: exceeds CSA cold bend/cold impact (-40/-35° C)
• Flame retardant: IEC 60332-3 Category A and IEEE 1202
• Suitable for use in Class I, Division 1 and Zone 1 environments.
• Braided armor of bronze. Tinned Copper available by request.
