Belden Cable Category 6 Industrial Ethernet Cable

Belden Cable Category 6 Industrial Ethernet Cable

Product Details

This is a non-plenum cable that is made of solid stranded bare copper conductors that are in twisted pairs insulated with polyolefin. The twisted copper conductors are wrapped with a tape separator and closely instilled with a ripcord forming a core. It is then covered with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacketing on the outer surface to improve its protective features from chemical and mechanical damages in the environment. Electrical cables are tested and approved to meet all the necessary requirements of international laboratory standards for top quality products like Belden Cat 6 Cable.

Approvals and Standards

1.CSA Flame Test
2.IEEE Flame Test
3.UL 1666 Vertical Riser
4.NEC Specifications
5.Telecommunication standards for category 6 cable TIA 568.C.2

You Need this Cable because:
Belden Cat 6 Cable is made of copper conductors that are solid and stranded. Copper has good electrical conductivity besides its tensile strength, creep resistant and low ampacity among others. For these reasons, it is no doubt that cables made of copper conductor offer a great performance and thus should be considered.

Polyolefin insulation and PVC jacketing layers provide a superb protection to the cable. During installation cables may be pulled along the ground causing friction between the surface of your cable and the ground. Well, for proper insulated and jacketed cables you don’t need to worry about wear and tear since the tough PVC jacket is creep resistant. These layers are semi-conducting and do not allow transfer of electrical power thus will keep you safe from unnecessary electric shocks, when handling the cable.

During installation you need cables that will give you easy time to terminate and Belden Cat 6 Cable networking cable is the ideal choice. This is because it comes with a ripcord longitudinally located inside the jacketing coat, which helps in pealing the cable. You will agree with me that cables without ripcords are tiresome and time consuming to peel and chop.

Applications
This cable is designed to serve in both wet and dry environmental conditions as a horizontal premise cable, with a frequency of 250 Megahertz. It is used as 100BaseTX or 100BaseVG ANYLAN in ATMS.
