Designed to fit in a standard 1U rackmount setup, the NetVanta 3148 stands out for its Ethernet redundancy capabilities, allowing customization of its four Gigabit ports for either LAN or WAN applications The integrated Adtran Operating System (AOS) includes a powerful stateful inspection firewall, adept at identifying and mitigating various Denial of Service (DoS) attacks like TCP syn flooding, IP spoofing, and more.

Management and monitoring of the NetVanta 3148 are made easy through the Adtran n-Command MSP platform, which provides tools for device location, bulk configuration changes, firmware updates, configuration backups/restorations, and comprehensive inventory reporting for effective asset management.
