Product Description:

This triple-conductor cable features soft drawn Class C, 19-strand, bare copper conductors for its electrical components.  Class C copper is characterized by its excellent flexibility as it is the second most flexibly type of copper conductor on the market.  The copper conductors align with ASTM specifications B3 and B8; standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials for annealed copper and concentric-lay-stranded conductors.  The conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride which protects the conductors from heat and moisture.  The insulated conductors are Type THHN/THWN approved and meet standard UL83 for insulated cables.  The conductors bear a nylon jacket that is applied directly to the surface of the PVC insulation.  The cable includes an insulated soft drawn Class C, 19-strand, bare copper ground conductor that is colored green for identification.  The ground conductor serves to ensure steady conductivity through the phase conductors.  All four insulated conductors are assembled in a parallel, side-by-side orientation.  A heat and moisture resistant black high density polyethylene (PE) jacket covers the assembly of conductors. 

Applications:

The flattened construction of the cable helps to minimize damage from crushing or impact from heavy objects.  Therefore, this cable is suitable for extra use in extra heavy-duty tasks where extreme durability and flexibility are required.  The high-density polyethylene jacket is air tight to prevent gas migration which can cause the cable to balloon.  The cable is typically used for methane and natural gas applications and deep well submersible fracking.  The cable has a voltage rating of 600 volts and a maximum temperature rating of 75°C.

-                In accordance with specifications set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials, a compliance and regulations organization established over 100 years ago, the cable aligns with ASTM B3 and B8 for annealed copper and concentric-lay-stranded conductors.

-                This cable meets Underwriters Laboratories standard 83 for insulated conductors.
