This wire can be found in solid soft drawn or hard drawn bare copper. Copper has since time immemorial been used in electrical and electronic devices because of its ability to transmit electric power fast. It cuts and bends easily, a crucial feature that is required when looking for a building wire. The soft drawn wire is flexible and easily forms into place. The hard drawn wire has higher tensile strengths and is more difficult to form. The multi- conductor wire is packaged on convenient spools as has been spelled out in ASTM B49.

The copper plater wire has been made in line with the following ASTM standards;

  1. B- 1 (hard drawn)
  2. B- 3 (soft drawn)
  3. B- 49 (copper rod)
  4. RoHS compliant

Because the cable is easily welded and soldered, it is ideal for usage as a hanger in the electro- plating industry. As compared to other commercially available metals used to conduct electricity, this wire has the highest conductivity per unit area.
