The cable is made of copper conductors which are silver plated to improve their electrical conductivity, and the cable life. Plating is the process of coating the conductors with a thin layer of silver making them oxidative resistance. This process make the conductors withstand corrosive chemicals. Silver plating enhances thermal conductivity of the cable, because silver has 106 percent thermal conductivity more than copper. It is insulated with a white low fluorine irradiated cross linked ETFE. The cable is also jacketed.

1.Conductor
It is made of lightweight and flexible conductors that enhance installation. Conductors are silver plated for protection and good electrical conductivity.
2.Insulation and Jacketing
Low Fluorine single layer of irradiated XL-ETFE protects the cable from sunlight radiations, chemical and mechanical damages.
3.Shielding
The round silver coated copper is used to shield the conductors preventing them from direct attacks by the punishing space conditions.
Applications
This is a space cable designed for use in both wet and dry locations within the temperature range of -100 degrees to 200 degrees. The cable is installed in space vessels like spaceships and aircraft.
