A ruggedized cable simply means that the cable has a strong dielectric material reinforced around its core. Prysmian cable comes as a concentrically compressed aluminum alloyed conductor in accordance to ASTM or the Class B Unilay conductor, accompanied by a neutral conductor.

The aluminum conductor is insulated with an inner layer of extruded linear low density polyethylene insulation and a high density polyethylene on the outer layer; the two insulation layers are cross linked and firmly bonded together. Assembly of this cable comprise of one, two or three live conductors twisted with a yellow strip neutral conductor and ruggedized on the outer surface. This cable is approved worthy to serve your low voltage wiring systems by Underwriters (UL) specification standards such as:
