PowrServ Triplex Al Conductor Composite XLPE/HDXLPE Insulation
Product Details
The underground distribution system is gaining more traction since it appeals and reduces congestion in the residential. Among many other advantages of underground installation is the safeness from electrocution of objects and humans. Underground cables are however exposed to abuses, therefore we have brought the Abuse Resistant (AR) cable. This makes your underground distribution system watertight and less prone to sabotage.
Construction
In the formation of a complete triplex AR underground cable is; two live conductors and one neutral conductor. The insulation system is made so that it has an extrusive feature and is cross-linked. The material used to make the insulation is polyethylene which is free from lead. Lead is a destructive element, therefore you are not advised to directly interact with any item associated to lead.
The cables are twisted together in a way to make a triplex configuration, which helps in easy installation of three phase systems. The manufacturing of the cables is in accordance to the standards. The lab, electrical and mechanical tests against the cable have proved the quality and service delivery.
Composite Insulation
A composite material is a combination of other materials which are Integratable in order to get the best material. It has been proven that composite serve the best insulation system that is why this high quality cable uses the polyethylene material as its insulation.
Phase Identification
The phase identifications used for this cable is either the white print or sequential footage markings in order to distinguish the conductor phases of the cable.
Design and Advantages
There are two conductors which can be used in the cable making, these conductors include: class B Al and SIW compressed Al. The phase conductors are colored black and the neutral is also black however the neutral has three yellow stripes which are extruded and help in distinction of the cable from others.
The composite insulator provides a very proficient protection against any damages, cuts and abrasions during installations. The conductors can operate with up to a maximum of 90 degrees Celsius and is applicable in both dry and wet regions.
Applications
Use the AR underground distribution cable for underground systems running on 600 volts or less. Be very vigilant on cable choice because a wrong choice will disappoint you.
