Description:
• Mobile Home Feeder wire is mostly installed as a direct bury though there are many sub-category versions which can be installed in ducts. Therefore, as the name suggests, this is a cable that is designed to connect mobile homes to a power supply system; the cables are usually connected to the permanent power source via direct burial. Mobile Home Service wire is made to carry electricity of up to 600 volts under the ideal working conditions of up to 90 degrees Celsius. Besides their extensive use in mobile homes, they can also be used for general purpose wiring in a wide range of power circuits requiring up to 600 volts.

• URD stands for Underground Residential Distribution, and generally, URDs can either be direct burial into the ground or fitted in ducts before being buried. Regardless of how they are installed, they are reliable service entrance cables which means that they do well to supply electricity from the main power lines to the end user.

Conductor:
• Compact stranded AA-8000 series Aluminum Alloy Class B stranding per ASTM B800 & B801

Insulation:
• Cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulation.

Applications:
• MHF wire is designed for use as service entrance cable which means that it can supply electricity from the main power source like the transformer to the meters of consumer buildings, mobile homes and portable devices. The many sub-categories of this cable provide usability in many circuits that do not exceed a voltage rating of 600 volts.

Installation of Mobile Home Feeder Cable:
• You only need to follow the step by step procedure provided by the National Electrical Code, NEC. For higher accuracy and safety, hire a qualified electrician to do the installation. This cable can be directly buried in the ground because of its tight XLP insulation. It is also possible to fit the cable in raceways, ducts and conduits for more safety of the cable.

Color-Coding:
• Cables are mainly color-coded to make identification during installation easier. The phase conductors of this cable are black, the neutral messenger cable is either white or black with white stripes whereas the ground wire has a green insulation.

Here’s what makes this cable ideal for Mobile Homes:
• High flexibility
• Accurate footage marking
• High Temperature Endurance
• Excellent endurance to environmental conditions
• Environmental friendliness

Approvals and Certifications:
• Types RHH and RHW-2 are in accordance with UL 44
• Type USE-2 is in accordance with UL 854
• ICEA S-105-692: 600V Single layer thermoset insulated utility underground distribution cable
• UL854: Service Entrance Cables
• RUS accepted
