A stranded bare copper multi-conductor made for use in operations experiencing temperatures of up to 90 degrees Celsius and requiring voltage of up to 600 volts. This multi-conductor is designed for use in marine environments. The cable is protected using cross-linked polyethylene insulation and PVC jacketing for improved performance and durability.

    Applications
    • For use on offshore drilling rigs, fixed and floating offshore facilities, and abroad marine vessels
    • The cable can be used in control systems’ wiring, electronics, indicating, and communicating circuits that demand the use of multi-conductors. This cable has found usage in gas detection systems, fire detection systems, driller consoles, ballast controls, video camera surveillance systems, general alarm systems, and in bilge controls.

    Insulation
    • Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLP) insulation
    • Cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulation is used as the primary insulation for the cable. XLP offers excellent resistance to cutting, mechanical forces and impact. It is a material with high insulation resistance (IR). XLP also has high dielectric strength and at low temperatures below 100 degrees Celsius, it is a very tough material. In addition to that, XLP, at low temperatures. It tends to perform well, for example, at temperatures below -40 degrees Celsius.

    Jacketing
    • PVC jacket
    • A PVC jacket is used to protect the insulation material. PVC offers excellent resistance to oxidation, water, and acid. It also provides good resistance to oil and ozone. PVC excellently resists ozone and flame.

    Characteristics
    • Flame retardant – meets IEEE 1202/UL 1685 flame test requirements
    • Type C14XTB with bronze armor
    • Type C14XTA with aluminum armor
    • Type C14(OS)XT variant includes an overall shield of polyester/aluminum foil tape with drain wire under the jacket
    • Applications needing up to 600 volts
    • Temperature rating 90 degrees Celsius
