15KV SPACER CABLE TREE WIRE

• Distribution of power can be a tall order in places that are awkwardly spaced. Buildings with relatively tight spaces between them need a special kind of cable to supply power from the mains to the houses. That’s why the 15KV spacer cable tree wire was developed. The cables is specifically for secondary distribution of power from one building to another.
• Normally, the 15KV spacer is used as an uninsulated power conductor. However, there are a few advanced versions with insulators made of a track resistant cross linked polyethylene. The insulation is basically to enhance cable safety. The insulated version is often used in areas where direct shorts are anticipated to prevent spontaneous charge flashes that could occur in case protruding objects like tree branches come in contact with the cable wire.
• So if you want to share power in an area with many tall musts or tree which hinder the direct run of the transmitter from one building to another like an estate with a forest. In this case, the insulation reduces the chances of power blackouts that could otherwise occur when the cables come into contact with the tress. It also reduces the need for trimming the trees every now and then.
• The main advantage of the 15kv spacer cable tree wire is that it hardly needs any supporting carrier. The mechanics of the cable enable it to supply power safely between tightly spaced buildings without necessarily devising a supportive equipment for lining.
• The 15kv spacer cable tree wire has strands aligned side by side made of H19 aluminum material. The strands are either fitted compactly inside an insulator or loosely fitted depending on the size of the conductor or other needs of the end user. It comes in two variations with different layers. The first type has an inner layer of natural XLPE or PE while the second type has an outer layer made of a dense, resistant polyethylene commonly denoted as HDTRPE.

Standards Available

B 230
This is a version made of very strong aluminum wire for electrical power transmission. The wire is made by drawing stock and has minimal chances of frailty as the case with lower standard wires. This standard of wire allows the cable to coil around its own width.

B 231
This is lay stranded wire. Which means that it is made of a main core wire fully enclosed by a layer or two of coiled secondary wire to give a concentric strand.

B 232
This is yet another concentric strand but in this case reinforced with steel to achieve high tensile strength.

Generally, 1350-H19 are concentrically stranded. The variations are either simply compressed or fully compacted depending on the size of wire that you need. The two variations give two standard sizes; AAAC and ACSR.

In a nutshell, the 15kv spacer cable tree wire is ideal for congested areas like corridors and alleys where the configuration of power transmission requires little or no supportive structures like poles.
