Product Details

Control cable type TC-ER is designed for use in control circuits and industrial power where small diameter cables with flame retardant are desired. The core installation includes cable rays and raceways or outdoor locations where there is need for support with a messenger wire. The good thing about CT-ER cables is that they eliminate the need for use of conduits meaning you reduce the cost of installation.

Applications :
 • ULTROL® 60+ control cable is a 600 V multi-conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated construction specifically designed for applications in nuclear generating stations and where flame retardancy is critical.
 • For use in Class 1E power distribution and control circuits for power lighting, control and signal circuits Can be installed in trays, conduit, ducts, or in direct burial applications 
 • The cables are recommended for use in combined cycle power units, power generating plants, lighting controls, and in signal circuits. These cables are designed for critical circuits needing continuity of service. TC-ER cables could also be used to offer connection between a cable tray and the device or equipment being utilized. In hazardous locations where qualified personnel are needed to service the installations, the cables may do well because they are coded for easy identification. They can be used for direct burial because they have superior protection.

Insulation :
 • Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture- and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE) Color code: Per ICEA Method 1, Table E-1 
 • The insulation is done with base colors and tracers as per ICEA/NEMA method 1. The insulation makes the cables to be heat, flame, moisture, and chemical resistant. It is made of cross-linked polyethylene, which changes the thermoplastic material to a thermoset for greater performance.

The jacket :
 • Flame-retardant, moisture-, oil-, sunlight and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) — Black. 
 • The jacket is sunlight resistance and designed for direct burial on the ground. The thermoset material of the jacket ensures circuit integrity due to its excellent mechanical strength coupled with good resistance to ozone, moisture, and a majority of chemicals.
