Using a top quality STPs in your installation will relieve you from continuous complications which may arise in your system because they are simple and safe.Nassau Electricals has a wide variety of STPs which meet all the required specification standards of the international laboratory tests, and are approved to be ready for their power serving services. There are some companies that over the years their reputations have been marred with accusations of supplying poor quality products to customers leading to poor performances in electrical systems. Regardless of who you choose to supply you with the Stranded Parallel Thermoplastics it is advisable to partner with the right company that has years’ experience with the electrical cable products.

Electric transmission channel serves in wide areas since electricity is part and parcel of our daily lives, almost everything we do all over the world today is powered by electricity either directly or indirectly. For this reason there is need of having good quality power serving cables which are durable and have good power conductivity rate in your system, especially for direct power uses to avoid unnecessary power faults and blows. When you purchase good power cables for your installation believe you me you will have little power faults in your system.

Construction
Standard Parallel Thermoplastic (SPT) cable comes in a tinned or annealed bare copper wire electrodes encased with a thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation jacket which is color coded. This power cable is designed to with a temperature operating rate of -20 up to 105 degrees. Color coding of the jacket is normally yellow, with a power rating voltage carrying capacity of 300 or 600 volts. SPT cable commonly comes in different wire gauge, either 18AWG or 16AWG.

There are three types of SPT cables namely; SPT 1, SPT 2 and SPT 3. Each of the SPT cable is heavily constructed than the previous one. They have different weights, thickness, operating temperature ratings as well as power voltages. The main difference among the three types of SPT cable is their insulation thickness where by SPT 1 has an insulation thickness of 0.030 inches, SPT 2 has 0.045 inches whereas SPT 3 has an insulation thickness of 0.110 inches. It is advisable to use the thickest SPT cable for installation in areas experiencing low temperatures, because its insulation can withstand cracking as compared to the rest.

SPT cable materials are tested and approved to comply in accordance to the following standards:

1.RoHS Compliant
2.CSA Certified standards
3.The UL Listed specification standards

Features and Benefits of Stranded Parallel Thermoplastic cable
SPT cable is made of a tough polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. This insulation is non-biodegradable and can also withstand harsh environmental conditions. It also offers protection against strong sunlight rays, corrosive chemicals, heat, flame and oil. All these aspects improves the lifespan of the cable.

The cable work well within an operating temperature ranging from -20 up to 105 degrees. This enhances its operation in both wet and dry environmental conditions thus making it flexible for use in either cold or hot climates.

Applications
It is designed for use in the small electrical appliances like the lamps, jukeboxes, radios and other appliances which do not exceed 300 volts. At Nassau Electrical Supply, we offer top quality products to our customers all over the world.  For more information about this cables and many other products, please feel free to get in touch with us via the live chat available at the bottom right hand side part of our website and we’ll be very happy to help you out.
