THHN Tray Cable Shielded Type TC cables are available in AWG sizes 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18. The AWG sizes 14, 12 and 10 are rated VN-THHN/THWN whereas sizes 18 and 16 are rated TFFN. The acronym THHN / THWN stands for Thermoplastic High Heat Nylon (W - Water resistant) cables. These cables meet all applicable ASTM specifications, UL standards 83, UL 1581, RoHS Compliance and other requirements of the National Electrical Code.

Unique Features of 14 AWG THHN Shielded Tray Cable 14 AWG THHN Shielded Tray Cable is rated at 90°C in dry conditions and 75°C in wet conditions. The cables have been specifically designed to have outstanding sunlight, cold bend and cold impact resistance. The cable has been constructed using fully annealed stranded bare copper conductors and Flame-retardant Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) with clear Polyamide (nylon) for insulation. The conductors are cabled with fillers as required and use a polyester binder tape. A shield of Aluminum Mylar is utilized for acquiring 100% coverage. The cable possesses stranded copper drain wire and a black Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) jacket.

Specific Applications of 14/2 THHN Shielded Tray Cable 14 AWG THHN Shielded Tray Cable is a stranded copper wire which has Thermoplastic insulation with a Nylon jacket. This enables the cable to be used outdoors and in conduit, but isn't suited for underground use. The 14 AWG THHN Shielded Tray Cable is used for all electrical wiring applications in your home such as wiring from electrical boxes to other outlets.

These types of cables are used in free air, raceways, direct burial, wet and dry locations. These cables are used in class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. Other applications include installation in trays, wire ways, ducts, conduit, channels and aerial applications when properly supported by a messenger .14 AWG THHN Shielded Tray Cables are also used as raceway cable, underground cable, multi-conductor THHN cable, lighting cable, control cable, signal and communication circuit cable, etc.

THHN THWN 2 cables are dual rated and are primarily used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications as specified in the National Electrical Code 2. This cable has the flexibility to be installed without using any pulling lubricant over them. When used as a type THHN cable, the conductor is suitable for use in wet or dry locations provided that the temperatures do not exceed 90 °C or 75 °C when exposed to oil. Also, conductor temperature should not exceed 105 °C in dry locations while using it as an appliance wiring material. The voltage rating for all the applications should be 600 volts.

The 14 AWG THHN Shielded Tray Cable TC-ER is used for general purpose wiring circuits, machine tool wiring, and internal wiring of appliances. These cables can also be used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. This is also seen in control panels, refrigeration equipment, air conditioning equipment, control wiring of machine tools, automatic washers and more.
