    Product Details

    This is an uncoated copper stranded wire made for use in high temperature, high voltage environment. It is engineered to perform well in locations vulnerable to effects of corrosion. Copper has good tensile strength and its conductivity is great and that’s why it is used to make cable and wires for marine environments. It is insulated with cross linked polyethylene and jacketed with cross linked polyolefin for enhanced performance. It is designed for operations needing up to 1000 volts.

    Applications
    • For use on offshore drilling rigs, fixed and floating offshore facilities, and marine vessels
    • This cable conductor has found extensive use on offshore drilling rigs, floating offshore facilities, fixed offshore facilities, and on marine vessels. It is used where hard marine environments prevail. The cable can be used for indicators, controller, communication apparatus, and driller’s console. It may also be used to wire gas and fire detectors, ballast controls, video camera systems, and general alarm systems.

    Insulation
    • Cross-linked polyethylene
    • An insulation material made of cross-linked polyethylene is applied on the conductor as the primary insulator. XLP or cross linked polyethylene has excellent resistance to things like mechanical forces, cutting, and impact. This insulator has high insulation resistance and great dielectric strength especially at temperatures not more than 100 degrees Celsius. XLP is a pretty tough material and can perform well even at low temperatures of negative 40 degrees Celsius.

    Jacketing
    • Cross-linked polyolefin
    • This cable conductor is jacketed using a cross-linked polyolefin material. Cross-linked polyolefin is also known as XLPO. This is material is halogen free. When used to insulate or jacket cables, it emits no toxic gases after being exposed to fire.
