    Product Details

A stranded bare copper conductor made for use in onshore and offshore drilling or other marine environments. It is designed to perform well in harsh environments found in drilling rigs, which may include high heat, severe cold, drilling mud, constant vibration, salt corrosion, and mechanical stress. The bare copper conductor is insulated using XLP or ethylene propylene rubber and has a jacket made of cross-linked polyolefin and a binder tape.

    Applications
    • Cable used on onshore and offshore drilling rigs, fixed and floating offshore facilities, and abroad marine vessels
    • It is used to wire communication systems, indicator systems, video surveillance system, gas detection equipment, fire detectors, and driller’s console. It may be used to wire smoke detectors within the marine and drilling environments.

    Insulation
    • XLP or ethylene propylene rubber
    • An insulation material made of XLP or ethylene propylene rubber is used to offer primary insulation. XLP as an insulation material is considered ideal for use where cables are subject to mechanical forces, impacts, and risk of cutting. XLP is quite tough in low temperature environments not exceeding 100 degrees Celsius. Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) is known for its outstanding thermal properties. It is resistant to elements such as heat, weathering, oxidation, alcohol, and alkali. It is also resistant to water and acids.

    Jacketing
    • cross-linked polyolefin
    • This cable as a jacketing made of cross-linked polyolefin material for enhanced protection of the primary insulator.

    Characteristics
    • Stranded bare copper conductor
    • Two conductors cabled to form pair
    • Applications demanding up to 300 volts
    • Telephone Identification Code by Method 3
    • Fillers and binder tape used
