General Cable Anaconda® Brand Type G-GC 3 Gauge Power Flat Parallel Portable w/Ground-Check EPR CPE 2000 Volts Three Conductor

Product Details

The Anaconda® Brand Type G-GC 3 Gauge Power Cable is listed as acceptable by MSHA, the Mining Safety and Health Administration, and that is why it is one of the most trusted cables in the mining industry.  This cable offers the durability needed to take on heavy-duty tasks, and the flexibility needed to avoid becoming a hindrance to the project.  The cable is flame-retardant, crush-resistant, and resistant to corrosive elements such as water, oil, chemicals, sunlight, and ozone.

The Anaconda® Brand Type G-GC 3 Gauge Power Cable’s resilience starts with its outer jacket; a layer of extra heavy-duty, lead-cured, chlorinated polyethylene.  The CPE jacket acts as the first line of defense against corrosion due to oil, chemicals, sunlight, and ozone.  The cable’s flame-retardant properties are derived from the CPE jacket as well.

The cable’s flexibility comes from the fact that it features coated, annealed, bunched copper wires that are rope-lay-stranded.  These annealed copper conductors offer exceptional flexibility because they have been heated and slowly cooled to remove internal stress, softening the metal.  The conductors are insulated with EPR which is a synthetic rubber product that is durable, resilient, and flexible.

The insulated conductors are D-shaped and laid in a parallel, side-by-side orientation so that they fit snugly inside the jacket.  This flattened design allows the cable to absorb heavy impact without the conductors shifting or being crushed.

Product Highlights:

v Anaconda® Brand Type G-GC Power Cable is listed as acceptable by MSHA.

v The cable’s flat construction keeps conductors from shifting under the cable’s jacket.  The cable offers premium crush and impact resistance.

v Conductors are insulated in EPR, protecting them from sunlight, moisture, and oil.

v The cable’s CPE exterior jacket is flame retardant and adds tensile strength to the cable.

v Constructed with flexible, coated, rope-lay-stranded, annealed copper wires that align with ASTM standard B172.

Conductor: 6 AWG thru 4/0 AWG coated annealed copper, bunched wires, rope-lay-stranded per ASTM B172
