Type G and Type G- CGC

When thinking of a mining cable for application in power cable and portable electrical equipment with a heavy duty service for power supply cable and industrial and light to medium duty mining applications, then this should be your goo to cable. Construction

Type MP- CG

These types of cables are ideal for use in high voltage distribution circuits for installations that are permanent or semi- portable in tunnels, open pits, shafts, bore holes and strip mines.

Construction 

The grounded cable has an annealed stranded bare copper conductor. Because of the copper, flexibility is guaranteed. The conductor is insulated with a cross linked polyethylene which is shielded using an extruded semi- conducting compound bare copper tape. The assembly of these cables comprise of polypropylene fillers which are cabled in a helical configuration. Over the assembly is a mylar binder tape. The cables comprise of two ground tables with the ground check having annealed stranded bare copper, yellow XLP insulation and a separator.

Types of Type MP- CG cables

Type SHD, Type SHD- BGC, Type SHD- CGC and Type SHD- GC

These groups of cables are portable power cables specially formulated for use as heavy duty trailing cable for mining equipment or for the distribution of high voltage in underground mines. They possess similar characteristics as type G and type G-GC. Although they are actually rated as 2 KV you can as well find the in 15 KV, 8 KV and 5 KV with regards to the kind of applications needed. They are different from Type G and Type G-GC cables in the sense that they carry with them a braid shield. Type W

Type W is a durable portable cord with the ability to supply power in wiring applications that are temporary or permanent. Amercable Tiger Brand Longwall Signal Cable 2- 9 Conductors 50 Volts 36-202-018

This is a flexible stranded multi conductor cable with flame retardant polyolefin insulation. The black or orange cable is jacketed with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) which is a material known for high abrasion resistance as well as chemical resistance. The TPU also brings on board extra tough physical characteristics allowing the cable to be ideal for use in underground mining applications. Amercable Tiger Brand Underground Lighting Cable 2-9 Conductors 110 Volts 36
This is also a flexible multi- conductor cable insulated with non- chlorinated thermosetting polyolefin. Both the conductor which has been constructed as per the ASTM B- 174 standard and the insulation are jacketed with a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material. Thanks to the flexible insulation, the cable used in mine lighting systems. It can as well be used in underground mining environment because of the extra tough characteristics brought into play by the TPU jacket.

Anaconda Brand Type VFD-BGC Power Shielded Round Portable W/Extensible Ground-Check EPR CPE 2000 Volts Three Conductor

The conductor of this mining cable comprises of rope lay stranded bunched wires made of coated annealed copper. The conductor is 2 AWG through 500 kcmil and insulated with colored EPR. The ground check conductor is coated with copper and has been uniquely stranded to offer extensibility and maximum resistance to flex fatigue. The ground check conductor is found in the center interstice and insulated with polypropylene. The cable also comprises of a coated copper braid shield and a lead- cured CPE jacket. It has been formulated for application as a trailing cable on AC mining equipment;

  • Where radiated EMI is causing interference with nearby systems

Diesel Locomotive Cable 2000 V DLO 1000 V CSA Type RW90 FT4 TC Super VU-Tron DLO EPR CPE
The stranded tinned annealed copper conductor cable is insulated with a flame retardant cross- linked Ethylene Propylene material. To facilitate easy stripping, there is a separator tape placed over the conductor. To make the cable oil resistant, a cross- linked chlorinated polyethylene jacket has been placed over the EP insulation. The jacketing material has been marked for easy identification. This diesel locomotive mining cable can be used in various scenarios such as those mentioned below;

The conductor of this mining cable has been constructed as per the AAR 589 standard. It is a fully annealed stranded tin coated copper conductor with a cross- linked Ethylene Propylene insulation. To separate the insulator and conductor is a separator tape which also facilitates stripping. The jacketing material is a black oil resistant and flame retardant cross linked chlorinated polyethylene (XL-CPE) material. The following are the different areas this cable can be used for;

DLO Diesel Locomotive Cable 2KV

This mining cable is constructed with tinned annealed stranded copper wires, insulated with a thermoset ethylene propylene rubber. After the EP is a water resistant CPE jacket. The 2 KV cable is flexible, durable and resistant to corrosion. It can be used for aerial installations, duct systems, underground tray and troughs. It is ideal for both wet and dry locations.
