Product Details

A soft annealed tinned copper conductor with flexible strands designed for marine environments. A tin coating on the copper conductor ensure that it does not succumb to corrosion and oxidation effects. Tin plating on the conductor improves conductivity, prolongs the service life, and improves the strength of the cable. In addition, tin plating minimizes additional wear and tear of the copper conductor. The type P rig marine cable is used for applications of up to 110 degrees Celsius and operating needing voltage of between 600 volts and 1000 volts. The conductor is unarmored.

Applications
• For use in demanding environments of offshore drilling and petroleum facilities
• This cable provides power distributions for circuits within marine environments. It is used to wire communication systems, lighting systems, and control systems. Some of the typical applications of the cable include transformer feeders, remote motor controls, plugs, A/C motor power, and light fixtures.

Insulation
• Flame retardant cross-linked polyolefin
• To protect the conductor, an insulation of flame retardant cross-linked polyolefin is used. This insulation can resist UV light, chemicals, and fire. It is halogen free and does not produce harmful gases in presence of fire or flame.

Jacket
• Black, arctic grade PVC
• The primary insulation is further protected by a jacket designed of arctic grade PVC. The jacket offers protection from flame, chemicals, sunlight and abrasion.

Features
• High strand count conductors make this product extremely flexible, easier to install and more resistant to vibration than Type MC, IEC spec or commercial cables.
• Lower dielectric constant and higher insulation resistance reduces electrical losses.
• Excellent resistance to moisture produces stable electrical properties throughout the life of the cable.
• In fire conditions, non-chlorinated flame retardant system produces less toxic and less corrosive gasses.
• Dual certified IEEE 1580 Type P and UL 1309/CSA C22.2 No. 245 Type X110.
• Highest ampacity ratings: ABS 100°C, DNV 95°C, LRS 95°C, Transport Canada 95°C
• Severe cold durability: exceeds CSA cold bend/cold impact (-40/-35° C)
• Flame retardant: IEC 60332-3 Category A and IEEE 1202
