Product Details

Type MV-105 Shielded cable comprise of a stranded annealed bare compacted Class B copper conductor that is shielded with an ESS; which refers to an Extruded Strand Shield.Annealed copper conductor is insulated with an ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) and is color coded for easy identification and distinction from the black semi-conducting shielding layer. It is then encased with an immediate insulation shielding compound of a copolymer and jacketed with a Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) which is black in color.

Standards and Approvals

1.ICEA S-97-682 and S-93-639, NEMA WC74
2.AEIC CS8
3.UL 1072, 1685 and for Type MV-105 as per NEC-UL file E90501
4.Flame test IEEE 1202 or CSA FT4
5.EPA 40 CFR check for leachable lead content as per TCL method
6.OSHA acceptable

Why go for this Cable?
This cable has a temperature rating of -55 degrees Celsius as the cold bend and 105 degrees Celsius as its maximum operating temperature. Such a cable can perform in extremely wet conditions with a lot of ease without any interference, and can as well serve electrical power in very dry and hot conditions experiencing up to 105 degrees Celsius without tears on its insulation and jacketing layers.

It is flexible and easy to carry and pull away during termination and installation. The annealed copper conductor used for its construction explains why this cable is malleable and soft achieving the flexibility aspect of this cable. Flexible cables require less effort to handle as compared to stiff cables thus easy to install. The conductors of this cable are also shielded to boost the stress control effect. ESS layer reduces the impulse attack to the conductors in case the cable is hit, as well as maintaining a stable positioning of the conductors thus preventing them from collapsing.

EPR insulation and Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) jacketing offers undisputed protection to the cable from environmental damages that may result from corrosive chemicals, sunlight radiations, moisture, flames, abrasion, oil and gas. You will agree with me that this cable has a superb adaptive protection feature, making it an ideal cable of choice.

Applications
This cable is designed for applications in rail roads, paper mills, mines, petrochemical plants and sewerage treatment facilities among others. It can be installed through direct burial, conduit systems, aerial, underground ducts and open trays.
