Flexible Paired Signal Cable MorPolyrad XT-125 Individually/ Overall Shielded Armored and Sheathed

The best discovery ever known to man was electricity. This is because we hugely count on electronics and lights for safety especially for those in the marine line of work. It is for this reason that we at Nassau Electrical have a wide range of marine wires and cables that have tinned copper. The conductors are made of tin to protect them against corrosion. This important feature in the long run ensures the cables get to have extended long life of between 5 and 20 years depending on how the marine cable is used and handled. Nassau has a complete range of cables for use in the marine environment. We also supply custom made cables to fit your specification. Among our marine cable products is the Type P Flexible Paired Signal Cable. So what about this cable? Let us find out next;

Conductor
Conductors play a huge role in transmitting electrical power. This marine cable has a conductor with the ability to transmit 20 AWG through 14 AWG. The conductor is made of soft annealed tinned copper. The copper enables the cable to be flexible and hence easily bend according to the needs of the user.

Insulation
Identifying the type p flexible marine cable is easy because it is color coded black and white with printed numbers on it. The insulation is made of polyrad XT- 125 Irradiated Cross- linked Polyolefin (XLPO) which also extends the life of the cable by enabling it to be resistant to chemicals and other deforming agents.

The overall shield and the individually shielded pairs are made with aluminum or polymer tape and tinned copper drain wire for long life. The cable core is made of core binder tape upon special request.

The cable has a black jacketing material made of Irradiated Cross- Linked Chlorinated Polyethylene (XL- CPE) while the armor has a bronze braid 88% minimum coverage. The black sheath goes a long way to ensure the cable is mud and oil resistant and this is all thanks to the Irradiated Cross- Linked Chlorinated Polyethylene (XL- CPE).

Features
The reason as to why the Type P Flexible Paired Signal Cable is love among marine and ship technicians is because of its outstanding features. To begin with it has complied with various international standards for marine vessels. For this reason you can have all confidence in it that it is going to meet your expectations. It meets the NEK 606 mud oil resistance requirements with ester based muds. It also meets the UL 2225 crush and impact requirements of Type MC- HL cables. This helps it to withstand any sort of impact or load placed on it.

The stranding is made of copper enabling it to be flexible for easy installation of the cable and termination. Its temperature ratings stand at 1250 C for extended life, higher ampacities and protection from overloads. It also meets the cold and bend test at -550 C and cold impact test at -400 C.

Compliances
You certainly do not want to work with just any ordinary product especially if you are dealing with electrical. For the sake of safety to all parties involved, this marine cable has been rated as follows;

1.API-P14F
2.CSA C22.2 No. 245 type X110
3.IEEE 1580- 2010 Type P
4.IEC 60092 -350
5.Mud oil- resistant
6.UL 1309 Type X110
7.UL Listed 1100 C Marine Shipboard Cable

Flame test
It has been taken through the following flame tests;

1.IEEE 1202
2.IEC 60332- 3- 22 Cat. A (Supersedes IEC 60332-3A)
3.CSA C22.2 No. 0.3 FT4

Applications
This is a marine cable and is used for offshore gas and oil drilling platforms, MODUs, ships and FPSOs. It is equally used in land based oil and gas drilling rigs. The cable is ideal for use in class 1, division 1 and zone 1 hazardous locations when installed in accordance with the API- RP14F.
