Uses and Applications of MV105 EPR Insulation CPE Jacket Shielded or Unshielded 100% or 133% Power Cables 5kV / 8kV

Medium voltage power cables are widely used in power circuits which are usually installed in varying climatic situations as well as wet and dry locations. The Medium Voltage Power cable comes in sizes mainly through 8 AWG – 1000 MCM. The available voltage ranges for the medium voltage power cables are 2,400 Volts, 5,000 Volts, 8,000 Volts, 15,000 Volts, 25,000 Volts, and 35,000 Volts.

Unique Technical Features of MV105 EPR Insulation CPE Jacket Shielded or Unshielded 100% or 133% Power Cables5kV / 8kV
MV105 EPR Insulation CPE Jacket Shielded or Unshielded 100% or 133% Power Cables are constructed with a semi-conducting conductor shield of soft bare annealed copper which qualify the ASTM B-3. It also has Class B stranding as per ASTM B-8 (compressed) or ASTM B-496 (compact). These power cables use a semi-conducting insulation shield of cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) that qualifies the ICEA S-97-682 standards.

The temperature regulations of the cables are specified at 90°C for continuous operation, 130°C for emergency overload conditions and 250°C for short circuit conditions.

Specific Applications of MV105 EPR Insulation CPE Jacket Shielded or Unshielded 100% or 133% Power Cables 5kV / 8kV Type MV105 Insulation CPE Jacket Shielded or Unshielded 100% or 133% Power Cables are specifically designed for use in corrosive environments in power circuits up to 5000V which are installed in open air, conduit & duct; cable tray when CT rated, in wet and dry conditions. Other applications for these types of cables are seen in chemical plants, refineries, steel mills, industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility substations and general stations.

Medium voltage power cables can also be used for generators and with motor and batteries as its main applications. The portability of the cables makes it quite easier to use on mobile equipment.
