    This conductor cable is made using copper wire and is tinned, annealed, and insulated for greater workability, performance, durability, and resistance to corrosive elements like water and moisture. It is insulated with a thermoset material to further enhance its protection against the damaging elements like heat, radiation, and moisture. This conductor cable is used to supply and distribute power in low voltage applications. It is a switchboard wire that can work well in environments that are exposed to heat and extreme cold such as in power generating facilities and in steel mills or in petrochemical refineries but for the low voltage applications.

    Applications :
    • ULTROL® 60+ SIS is a 600 V flexible, single insulated conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated switchboard wire
    • For use in Class 1E low-voltage applications in operation and interconnection of protective devices where optimum performance is required and where flame retardancy is critical
    In areas that are susceptible to flames or fires including nuclear generating plants and petrochemical industries, these switchboard wires may work pretty well. They are ideal for applications that need flame retardant cable conductors for protective devices.

    Insulation :
    • Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture-, sunlight and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE)
    • Color code: Gray
    • A thermoset insulation material is used to insulate the cable making it resistant to destructive elements like moisture, radiation, heat, sunlight, and fire or flames. The insulation if flame retardant and this makes the cable to work well in areas that may be exposed to effects of flames. A thermoset material is specially treated to make it undergo a chemical change on its molecular level to make it behave different. For example, when the insulation is exposed to heat, it cannot melt down or drip or flow because it has changed its molecular structure to become a thermoset.
