The conductor cable is made using tinned annealed copper material and is a class B stranding wire as per the ASTM B8. It is used in high voltage power supplies, specifically within power generating facilities like the nuclear power plants. It is designed with tough, flexible insulation material to make it endure any harsh environment it may be exposed to. It will resist heat, radiation, and moisture penetration and is used in different installations including underground duct and conduits or even direct burials.

Applications :
• ULTROL® 60+ power cable is a 600 V multi-conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated construction specifically designed for applications in nuclear generating stations and where flame retardancy is critical For use in Class 1E power distribution and control circuits for power lighting, control and signal circuits Can be installed in trays, conduit, ducts, or in direct burial applications
• This wire cable may be used in control circuits and distribution of power within signals, control, and power lighting installations. It has found widespread use in nuclear generation stations where there are exposures to high temperatures and heat. It may also be used in petrochemical plants, mining, steel mills, and cogeneration applications. Its installation is found in direct burials, conduits, trays, underground ducts, and aerial installations.

Insulation :
• Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture- and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE)
• Color code: Per ICEA Method 1, Table E-1
• An insulation material that has been specially treated through a cross linking process to form a thermoset is used. The insulation material is made of cross-linked polyethylene, which makes it resistant to cracking, soldering, and cut through. This thermoset material is resistant to radiation, moisture, heat, and flame or fire.

Jacket :
• Flame-retardant, moisture-, oil-, sunlight and radiation-resistant thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) — Black
• To facilitate installation, enhance flame resistance, and to further protect the wire from chemical, moisture, and mechanical damage, a jacketing thermoset material made of cross-linked polyolefin is used. This thermoset jacketing material is resistant to oil, chemicals, moisture penetration, flame, sunlight exposure, and radiation.
