Product Details

This control cable multi-conductortype TC-ER is made of tinned annealed copper. It is designed to ensure long term thermal and moisture endurance. The tin coating of the tray copper cable prevents oxidation at high temperatures. And, because it is ER rated, it means users can save money on their cable installations. The tray cables have passed additional crush and impact tests meaning they will not be damaged when used as opening wiring. There is no need for armoring and it can be used outside of conduit or some other raceway. The tinned annealed copper cable allows for easy workability.

Applications :
• ULTROL® 60+ control cable is a 600 V overall shielded, multi-conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated construction specifically designed for applications in nuclear generating stations and where flame retardancy is critical
• Where optimum performance is required for use on Class 1E circuits when shielding from external electrostatic interference is required Can be installed in trays, conduit, ducts, or in direct burial applications
• It is designed for applications such as in nuclear generating stations and other uses where flame retardancy is essential. It may also be installed in direct burial applications, in trays, in ducts, and in conduits. In situations where Class 1E circuits need greater performance, these conductors may be used, especially if there is need to shield them from interference by external electrostatic. It may also be used in petrochemical, pulp and paper industry, steel milling and mining industry.

Insulation :
• Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture- and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE)
• Color code: per ICEA Method 1, Table E-1
• This tray cable has the ability to resist flames and moisture. It is also resistant to radiation, something that makes it ideal for use in nuclear generating stations. A cross-linked polyethylene material ensures optimal protection against damage caused by moisture, heat, or flames.

The Jacket :
• Flame-retardant, moisture-, oil-, sunlight and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) —Black
• The jacket is resistant to sunlight, moisture, and radiation. Its thermoset material offers great mechanical strength and improved circuit integrity. The thermoset material makes it resistant to chemicals such as oil.
