Product Details

Type MP-GC 3 Conductor cable comes with three compacted Class B live copper conductors that are bare, stranded and annealed. The use of annealed copper conductors instead of standard stiff copper conductors affirms the flexibility of this cable. These copper conductors are shielded with ESS (extruded strand shield) and insulated with Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) that is black color coded for easy identification. EPR insulation is double shielded with an extruded thermosetting semi-conducting layer. 

The assembly is wrapped with an overlapped copper annealed tape shield. This cable features a ground check conductor made of stranded Class B, annealed and coated copper conductors with a yellow propylene insulation for identification. Two grounding annealed copper conductors have different individual insulation from the live copper conductors. It is jacketed with a lead cured Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) compound for additional protection.

Conductors
Three live copper conductor cable is also referred to as a three-phased power cable and can be deployed in three phase power distribution lines. It is made of flexible copper conductors that makes it easy to install. Flexible power cables can be folded and wound into drums for shipment without difficult as compared to rigid cables. Flexibility is thus a thing to consider especially during installation.

Extrusions
Triple extrusions form a clean electrode limiting unequal electrical stress. Thermosetting semi-conductor shields are extruded creating a high dielectric strength with a corresponding low dielectric loss. Shielding majorly helps in controlling the amount of stress acting on the cable hence improving the electrical conductivity of the cable.

Insulation
EPR insulation ensures that the safety of the user is not compromised since it is a semi-conducting compound, which do not allow the transfer of electric power thus preventing the user from unnecessary electrocution especially when handling the cable. Insulation of electrical cable is very important because not only does it protects the user but the cable as well. EPR offers an excellent heat, oil, moisture, corona, radiation and chemical resistance.

Jacketing
This is the outer coat that offers an additional protection to the cable against harsh environmental conditions. Anaconda Type MP-GC uniblend power cable is jacketed with a lead-cured Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) layer. It protects the cable against mechanical damages such as abrasions, tearing, punctures, oil and flame as well as corrosive chemicals and moisture. Applications
Anaconda Type MP-GC Mine Power cable is intended to serve in mining and bore-hole applications to drive heavy load machines with a power voltage rating not exceeding 15000V. It can be installed through direct burial, duct systems and aerial installations.
