General Cable Anaconda® Brand Type G 1 Gauge Power Flat Parallel Portable w/Ground EPR CPE 2000 Volts Two Conductor

Product Details

The 1 AWG Anaconda® Brand Type G Power Cable is a cost-effective solution for light to medium-duty mining tasks.  Anaconda® Brand Type G 4 Gauge Power Cable is a mining cable that offers exceptional flexibility and resistance to corrosion due to oil, water, chemical solvents, and ozone.  It is a crush resistant cable, built with a flattened design to minimize damage from impact by heavy objects.  With a carrying capacity of 2,000 volts, this cable is capable of handling voltages high enough to power most industrial and mining equipment.

The Anaconda® Brand Type G 1 Gauge Power Cable finds most of its use in light to medium duty mining applications where there is a high risk of impact by heavy objects.  The cable is listed as acceptable by the Mining Safety and Health Administration.  Other applications include use as power supply for power tools, motors, generators, and battery leads.

Along with being a crush and impact-resistant, the cable also offers great flexibility.  This is due in part to the fact that the cable employs coated annealed, rope-lay-stranded conductors as its main conductive members.  Annealed copper undergoes a thermal process that softens the metal, making it more flexible without compromising the copper’s powerful conductive qualities.  The copper conductors used in this cable align with ASTM standard B172.  Two annealed copper phase conductors and one neutral ground conductor are included in the cable.  The conductors are insulated in ethylene propylene rubber that offers additional resistance to oil, water, and chemicals.  The EPR insulation is D-shaped to fit perfectly inside the jacket without shifting.

Product Highlights:

v Constructed with flexible, coated, rope-lay-stranded, annealed copper wires that align with ASTM standard B172.

v The cable’s D-shaped construction keeps conductors from shifting under the cable’s jacket.  The cable offers premium crush and impact resistance.

v Conductors are insulated in EPR, protecting them from sunlight, moisture, and oil.

v The cable’s CPE exterior jacket is flame retardant and adds tensile strength to the cable.

v Anaconda® Brand Type G Power Cable is listed as acceptable by MSHA.
