This lead wire is designed of stranded tinned copper and meant for use in high temperature applications. Using tin metal to coat the wire ensures less oxidation at high temperatures. Tin is useful in coating copper wires because it not only enhances the copper properties but also allows the wire to endure for longer than it is likely in bare condition. For instance, a 12-gauge tin coated copper cable could last up to ten times than a 12-gauge bare copper cable. Since tin resists corrosion and it does not oxidize, it means that the plating helps offer protection of the wire. This prevents any additional wear and tear that could reduce the life of a copper cable. Usually, at higher temperatures, the corrosion resistance of copper tends to decline. This makes the tin coating a very valuable protection for the wire. Tin is also easy to solder and this makes the connections and installation easy to work on. Applying of a tin coat on the wire also makes the cable to be resilient to things like lost connections and breakage while at the same time enhancing the copper conductivity.

Applications
• For use in high voltage connections and circuits in environments exhibiting high temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius
• Ideal for use in spark ignitors
• The wire can be used in applications that demand up to 13.8 KVAC power.
• The lead wire can be used in wiring transformers, generators, motors, and panels. It may also be used in wiring heating and cooling equipment, furnaces, spark ignitors, and cooking range tops. It’s also used in lighting systems requiring high voltage and high temperatures.

Insulation
• Silicone Rubber
• An insulation material made of silicone rubber is used to insulate the cable. Silicone offers resistance to heat, flame, steam, moisture, and UV light. It also offers resistance to chemical, acid solutions, oxidation, water, and alkali. Silicone has a long life making a suitable material for insulating electrical wires.

Jacketing- Outer covering
• Treated synthetic yarn braid with high temperature finish
• An outer cover made of treated synthetic yard braid is used to provide more protection. This covering is treated with high temperature to improve the performance of the cable in areas experiencing heat, flames, UV light, or radiation.

Characteristic
• Outstanding flexibility
• Excellent mechanical strength with superior cut through and abrasion resistance
• Reduced diameter compared to NEMA high volt products
• Operating temperature from -60ºC to 200ºC
• Low smoke / Zero Halogen
• Suitable for varnish dip and bake applications
