A nickel-plated copper wire for use in high temperature environment. Its small diameter makes it save space while not compromising its performance. It is listed for use in areas with temperatures of up to 450 degrees Celsius. This lead wire has enhanced performance due to the nickel plating. Nickel is a material that offers great resistance to corrosion. It is durable and stable even when used in extreme temperatures.

Applications
• Wide range of applications ranging from military, aerospace, to industrial and heating products.
• The cable is ideal for use in industrial heating process equipment and extreme high temperature appliances as a lead wire. It may be used for control and circuit connections in heat-treating furnaces, foundries, ceramic and glass kilns, band heaters, and commercial food service equipment. It is also designed to be used in steam generators and boilers.

Insulation
• Mica tape
• The wire is insulated with a mica tape for extra protection. Tapes are intended for use in demanding and high performance applications. The taping involves wrapping the material around a cable and then fusing the layers of tape to create a solid, uniform protection wall. Mica tape is a composite tape bearing a glass scrim back for enhanced mechanical strength. This material is not only resistant to moisture and radiation but also withstands harsh electrical as well as thermal overloads. That’s why it performs pretty well in high temperature and harsh environments.

Jacketing-Outer covering
• Fiberglass braid with high temperature finish
• A braided fiberglass outer covering is used and this has been treated with a high temperature finish. Fiberglass tends to be resistant to moisture, heat, chemical attack, and high temperatures.

Characteristics

• Resists braid fray and push back
• Withstands mechanical abuse.
