Applications:
2-2-2-4 Copper wire is a service entrance cable designed to deliver secondary distribution voltages to the meter base and distribution panelboard of a residential, commercial, or industrial building. This cable is connected to the service drop to deliver power into the building. The cable is made to withstand inclement weather such as rain and snow.  Copper Service Entrance Cable SER Type SE Style R can also withstand abuse from UV rays, even in areas where the sun is most powerful.  It is important to use high-grade material for this type of cable because this is the first cable to enter the dwelling and is often exposed to the outdoors.

• UL Standard 44 – A specification measuring the efficiency and construction of XHHW-2 conductors.
• UL Standard 83 – A specification measuring the efficiency and construction of  THHN/THWN conductors
• UL Standard 854 - These requirements cover Type USE and USE-2 (below-ground) and Type SE (above-ground) power cables for installation in accordance with Article 338 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Federal Specification A-A-59544 - An article setting expectation for fixed placed power cables.
• National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. 2011 Edition – Meets NEC specifications
• RoHS – This cable is deemed acceptable by Restrictions on Hazardous Substances.

Jacket: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket is fire-resistant, and impervious to daylight and wetness. 

Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene, high heat-resistant, water resistant. Thermoplastic high heat-resistant, water-resistant.

Conductor: 100% annealed, concentrically stranded copper.
