Description:

Vassar 4-4-4 Triplex cable which has two phase conductors and one neutral wire twisted or laid parallel to each other. The conductors are made of aluminum alloy which is further insulated with cross-linked polyethylene. The cable is used in residential zones for secondary power distribution. It can be installed in conduits, ducts or as direct burial wire. It has Ampacity of 125 however if installed inducts it can only allow 90 amps.

Applications:
#4 Vassar URD Cable is designed for secondary distribution. Secondary distribution occurs after the power has been received by the transformer and reduced to utilization voltage, a safe voltage for residential use. This cable can be installed in ducts or be used in direct burial.

Conductors:
They are made of aluminum alloy which are compressed in 1350-H19. Only 99.5% of the conductor is made of aluminum the rest is made of zinc, copper and silicon. This is to strengthen the conductors.

Insulation:
The insulation is made of standard polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene.
