Description:
Tufts is a URD cable used for secondary power distribution. It comes with only one conductor with a gauge size of 3/0 AWG. The aluminum allows the conductor to have great conductivity as a direct burial cable. The conductor is housed in polyethylene insulation and the allowable ampacity rate when the cable is at 90°C as a direct burial cable is 250 amps. But when in ducts the ampacity goes down to 195 amps. The secondary distribution cable supplies electric voltage at 600 volts.

Applications:
This secondary distribution wire is commonly used in residential settings. It is specifically meant for underground power transmissions this is resistant to rocky obstacles commonly found in these areas. Furthermore it can be used as a direct burial wire which involves direct insertion in to the soil with the use of a conduit or duct for protection. However its performance can be affected in these applications if the maximum temperature rating exceeds 90°C in both wet and dry locations.

Conductors:
The conductors are made of aluminum which are compressed at 1350-H19.

Insulation:
Aluminum URD cable has a cross-linked polyethylene insulation (XLPE) which can withstand high temperatures of up to 90°C.

Features:
• Robust and sturdy insulation
• It is resistant to high temperatures
• 600 volt URD cable
• Moisture and chemical resistant

• ASTM B-230
• ASTM B-609
• ICEA S-105-692
• RUS ACCEPTED
