Power Cable - Unishield 5KV/8KV UL Type MV-105 Single Conductor, Shielded EPR Insulation, CPE Jacket 5KV 133%, 8KV 100% Insulation Level Copper Conductor

Product Details

It features a bare soft annealed and Class B stranded copper conductor in accordance to ASTM B-3 and ASTM B-496. There is a big difference between annealed copper conductor and a standard copper conductor; annealed copper conductor is soft and malleable as opposed to standard copper conductor that is stiff and rigid. Annealed copper conductors of this cable are bonded closely with a semi-conducting shield and then insulated with an EPR to form a core. The assembly is longitudinally shielded with embedded six corrugated copper wires and covered with an outer jacketing coat of CPE.

Standards and Approvals

1.IEEE 383 flame test
2.ICEA S-93-639
3.NEMA WC74
4.AEIC CS8

Why go for this Cable?
Interested in a Type MV-105 Single Conductor copper cable to deploy in either wet or dry locations? Make this cable your preferred choice. It is made of flexible copper conductors affirming its flexibility, flexible cables will relieve you from using too much effort to terminate during installation.

It has a superb protection against adverse environmental conditions offered by EPR insulation and CPE jacketing. This cable is designed to operate in outdoor applications thus exposing it to harsh conditions in the environment such as strong sunlight radiations, moisture, corrosive chemicals, abrasion, oil and gas. You don’t need to worry about them because EPR and CPE compounds will keep the cable from such damages.

Shielding of this cable ensures that the copper conductors are not affected by any kind of stress acting on the cable. Stress in this case refers to external forces exerting pressure on the cable, shielding prevents direct stress from vandalizing the cable. I would recommend that you consider this cable in your wiring systems.

Applications
With a power rating of up to 8kv this cable is applied in industrial and commercial plants through direct burial, conduits, ducts, and open air installations.
