Power Cable 2.4KV UL Type MV-105, 105°C Three Conductor, Non-Shielded EPR Insulation, PVC Jacket 2.4KV 133% Insualtion Level Copper Conductor

Power Cable 2.4KV UL Type MV-105, 105°C Three Conductor, Non-Shielded EPR Insulation, PVC Jacket 2.4KV 133% Insualtion Level Copper Conductor

Product Details

This cable is made of three live copper conductors that are bare soft and annealed as per ASTM B3 and B8. This is a complete power cable with three live conductors that are insulated with an Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR), longitudinally bonded closely with a grounding wire that acts the neutral path and jacketed with an overall coat made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Type MV-105 power cable is not shielded, however offers a great electrical power transmission of up to 2.4kV power voltages. It complies with the following specification standards:

1.Flame test UL IEEE 383 70,000
2.ICEA method 4 for color coding
3.ICEA S-96-659
4.NEMA WC71
5.UL standard 1072 test for the grounding wire

Why go for this Cable?
Three conductor power cable is also referred to as a three phased power cable. Three phased wiring systems are cheap to erect because they require less conductors and are convenient in that they ensure you of stable power supply.

EPR insulation creates a boundary between the bare grounding wire and the live copper conductors, hence improving the electrical conductivity of this cable. Live conductors should not get into any contact with the neutral grounding wire, this is because their union would lead to power surges rendering your entire wiring system faulty. EPR also protects the cable from harsh environmental conditions as well as keeping the user safe from electric shocks.

Polyvinyl Chloride is known as a tough non-biodegradable compound, that do not decompose because it is fungal resistant. Therefore PVC jacketing layer offers a great protection to this cable from harsh environmental conditions associated with corrosive chemicals, flames, abrasions, sunlight radiations, wear and tear. This cable is also color coded for easy identification which is very important especially during installation, as it enhances visibility and avoiding confusion.

Applications
This cable is primarily designed to serve as a power distribution cable and is applied in various fields including refineries, steel mills, commercial buildings, industrial plants, utility substations as well as in generating sites. It is approved by National Electric Code (NEC) to serve at 105 degrees Celsius in continuous operation, 140 degrees Celsius in emergency overload condition, and at 250 degrees Celsius; and can be installed through open air, cable trays, direct burial conduits and duct systems.
